Unlike many other countries, companies in the United States do not guarantee 40-hour work weeks for hourly positions.

While you may sometimes be scheduled for more or fewer than 40 hours per week, the property shall see to it that you will get an average of 40 hours per week throughout the placement.

Per the Department of State regulations the host employer must provide you with at least 32 hours per week; if your hours fails below 32 hours please contact [email protected] for assistance.

You will be requested to be present during varied shifts, including weekends and holidays based on the employer’s business needs.

Moreover, contrary to most countries, in the United States one is employed ‘at will’ meaning that typically there are no written labor agreements.
