Embark on an exhilarating journey as Assistant Rooms Division Manager training in housekeeping and Front Desk at our vibrant hotel in Washington DC! Lead with passion, train a dedicated team, and redefine hospitality in the heart of the nation's capital. Train through rotations of Operations, Management, and Financials!

On your days off, discover iconic landmarks such as the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, or explore the Smithsonian museums, offering exhibits that range from natural history to space exploration. Families will love the National Zoo, while history enthusiasts can tour the U.S. Capitol or the Library of Congress. For a more laid-back experience, wander through the picturesque Georgetown neighborhood with its boutique shops, or take a paddleboat ride on the Tidal Basin, especially during cherry blossom season. This opportunity won't last long!

Housing will be offered for the first 30 days of training based on occupancy if not at this hotel or another sister hotel at no cost for room and tax.

From the airport, you can take an uber, taxi, or the metro to get to the hotel.

Salary:

$25.96/hr (approx $54,000 per year) and eligible for overtime pay 1.5x hourly rate over 40hr/week

Requirements

Eligibility criteria for our Career USA programs:

•⁠  ⁠You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA)

•⁠  ⁠You have shown consistent career growth over the last years

•⁠  ⁠You have shown serious commitment to your most recent employers

Housing:

Washington DC Metro area, and the surrounding areas like Alexandria and Arlington, is expensive. A 1-bedroom apartment can start around $1,800+ per month, unfurnished.

HRC places over 30 J1's in D.C. every year so there are plenty of other J1's to help you get settled in the area!

We recommend that you consider rooming with another J-1 or local share the cost of the living. The metro is very reliable, which allows the option to live outside the city where the cost of living will be a bit less expensive.
