Scottsdale offers an attractive array of outdoor escapades, cultural discoveries, and peaceful relaxation. You can explore the hiking trails at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, discover celebrated art galleries, and even step into the Old West at Western-themed attractions. For those in search of more thrilling experiences, consider embarking on a Grand Canyon adventure or participating in exciting journeys via Jeeps and ATVs. During your visit, you'll have the exceptional chance to completely engage in a world-class, practical culinary education at this internationally renowned golf resort, which consistently maintains a spot among the world's top 10.

The employer will provide airport pick up from Phoenix International Airport. Make sure you communicate your arrival prior to booking your flight. We recommend you arrive 2-3 days before your start date.

Chef Bertrand Bouquin is from Burgundy, France, Chef Bertrand is responsible for the extensive offerings and menus at all of Desert Mountain’s 10 restaurants and grills. The James Beard Foundation Award-nominated Chef Bertrand has been honored with the highest French distinction as a Maître Cuisinier (French Master Chef), cooked on The Today Show and the USS Conway, and served as the Executive Chef at the luxurious Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs, where he garnered a Mobil 5 Star rating and AAA 5 Diamonds rating for one of the restaurants in just three years. 

In his continued efforts to refine the cuisine available throughout Desert Mountain, Chef Bertrand is passionate about ensuring each restaurant on the property is as authentic and unique as its culinary origins. Additionally, he is proud to note that many of his elite, 80-cook staff come from all over Europe and South Africa, creating a wonderfully rich diversity in the kitchen.

Housing:

The property will provide an apartment that will be fully furnished with double occupancy, max 4 people per apartment. The cost will be $140 per week which will be taken on biweekly payroll deductions. The apartments will be 25 minutes from the property thus you will need to secure your own transportation. 

Transportation:

A vehicle will be needed for commuting to and from Desert Mountain. Insurance will be needed for your vehicle and will cost around $150 per month. An international drivers license will also need to be acquired, if not already, while driving in the United States. HRC recommends you bring an additional $3,000 to help secure a vehicle and insurance.
