Luxury Italian Restaurant in the heart of Houston is looking for a passionate F&B candidate to join their team! Train as a host, server, and beverage department supervisor!

On your time off, stop by and see a show at the Miller Outdoor Theatre, shop around the Urban Harvest Farmers Market, or even attend a Houston Astros or Texans game!

Placement Remarks

Salary: 

Host: $ 16-22/hr

Server: $18-26/hr

Beverage Department Supervisor: $18.26/hr

Benefits:

Uniforms are provided for hourly employees' management trainees must bring their own professional suits.

One complimentary meal is provided per shift worked. 

Trainees will accrue up to 40hrs of personal or vacation time over 12 months.

Airport pick-up and housing is NOT provided.

There is public transportation, but the employer highly suggests purchasing a car, moped, or bicycle for added convenience.

Requirements

Eligibility criteria for our Career USA programs:

•  You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA)

•  You have shown consistent career growth over the last years

•  You have shown serious commitment to your most recent employers

Housing: Housing in Houston varies widely depending on the area. A 1 bedroom can  be found for as little as $600 per month outside of downtown, but can be as expensive as $2,000 the closer to downtown you get. Living outside the city limits gives you cheaper living options and it is suggested you look for housing before you arrive. Please note, without established credit a deposit of the first and last month’s rent may be required. HRC recommends you bring at least $2,000 as startup capital and to help secure housing.

Transportation: Houston has their own metro system with a rail line and extensive bus routes. These services are available within the city limits. Metro passes can be purchased to reduce the cost of transportation, which you can expect to spend about $15 per week on. If living outside the city limits a vehicle may be needed. If a vehicle is purchased insurance will also need to be purchased, which you can expect to spend around $150 per month on. HRC recommends you bring an additional $2,500 to help secure a vehicle if desired. ridemetro.org 

Climate: Being in the southern United States, Houston has hot and humid summers mild winters. Temperatures during the summer (June-September) stay close to 90F (32C) with only a few rainy days a month. Winters (November-February) have few rainy days with mostly sun and temperatures remaining around 60F (16C).
