We are looking for a passionate, mindful cook to join our team and grow within our farm-to-table wellness resort. This is a unique opportunity to rotate through key kitchen stations—Garde Manger, Entremetier, Hot Line, and Chef de Partie—while refining your culinary skills in an environment centered on wellness, sustainability, and personal growth.

Placement Remarks
Bring your own knives.
A uniform will be provided.
A complimentary meal will be provided per shift.
You will accrue up to 80 hours based on hours worked starting from day 1 but you can not use until after 90 days of employment.
Staff housing will be offered at a cost. Expect to pay up to $1000. Cost to be determined at time of hire.

Eligibility criteria for our Career USA programs:
- You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA
- You have shown consistent career growth over the last years
- You have shown serious commitment to your most recent employers

Housing:
Civana offers staff housing for all of it's J1 participants.
Transportation:
A vehicle is not needed when living on site to get to and from work. You can use a taxi service to go elsewhere or buy a car. Insurance will be needed for your vehicle and will cost around $150 per month. An international drivers license will also need to be acquired, if not already, while driving in the United States. HRC recommends you bring an additional $3,000 to help secure a vehicle and insurance.
