Boutique hotel located in the heart of Fredericksburg; VA is seeking a passionate J1 intern to train in the Rooms Division! During your time off discover a blend of history, outdoor adventures!

Placement Remarks

Rate of pay is $16.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Uniforms will be provided.

50% off employees' meals.

You will accrue 3.08 hours per biweekly pay period of Personal Time Off.

You will need to get to the hotel on your own using uber or a taxi. It is best that you fly into Dulles International Airport. 

The Hotel will provide up to 14 days of complimentary accommodations on site to cover room and tax. All other fees are your responsibility.

Requirements

Eligibility criteria for our Career USA programs:

•⁠  ⁠You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA)

•⁠  ⁠You have shown consistent career growth over the last years

•⁠  ⁠You have shown serious commitment to your most recent employers

The average 1 bedroom apartment starts around $1,700 per month, unfurnished, not including utilities. It is advised as a J-1 exchange visitor that you look into options of sharing housing with other locals and/or J-1 exchange visitors. Please note, without established credit your first and last month’s rent may be required as a deposit. HRC recommends you arrive with at least $3000 as startup capital and to help secure housing.

Transportation: The downtown area of the city is very walkable. Fredericksburg has a Public Regional Transit that servers the City of Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County and Stafford County. Standard Fare is $1.25 for a one-way trip. On Fridays from 5 PM to 8 PM there is a free trolley service that runs through the downtown area.
