We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Food and Beverage candidate who will undergo training across our diverse outlets at this prestigious property, ensuring an exceptional guest experience every time!
Napa is an inviting city, perfect for indulging in culinary adventures, complete with wine pairings, in the renowned US wine region. Enjoy the convenience of a short drive to San Francisco, or take in the beauty of the ocean or the majestic Redwoods National Forest during your visit.
Placement Remarks
Rate of pay:
Server - $21/hr + gratuity
Host/Greeter - $20/hr + gratuity
Supervisor - $21/hr + gratuity.
It is customary in the US to work in “gratuity” positions. In these positions, you will receive a base hourly salary plus gratuity (tips). While the amount of a gratuity is ultimately at the discretion of the guest, the customary tip is 15-20% of the total bill before tax. Based on history, you may expect to earn around $25.00 per hour”.

The property will house you up to 14 days complimentary and/or local housing assistance. No Airport pick up.

Housing:
The average one bedroom apartment in Napa, California costs around $2,000 a month. It is recommended that candidates reach out to other J1s in the area so they can try to find housing with one of them to help lower the cost of their monthly housing. Please note, without established credit your first and last month’s rent may be required as a deposit. HRC recommends you arrive with at least $5,000 as startup capital and to help secure housing. Transportation:
Travel around Napa Valley can be challenging depending on where you are living. It is entirely possible that you may need a car during your time here. Remember to consider the cost of purchasing a vehicle and vehicle insurance. On average, a J-1 participant can expect to pay upwards of $400 on a used car payment per month and $150.00 per month for vehicle insurance. That being said, there is a modest bus system that goes around Napa called The VINE.
