On your days off, you’ll find plenty to enjoy in Paso Robles. Explore over 200 wineries across the region or spend an afternoon at Tin City, a vibrant spot filled with boutique tasting rooms, local eateries, and craft producers. If you’re up for adventure, try ziplining at Margarita Adventures or take in the stunning vineyard views from a hot air balloon. For something more relaxed, stroll through downtown Paso Robles, where you’ll find historic charm, unique shops, farmers markets, and local art. Don’t miss Sensorio’s Field of Light—an unforgettable outdoor art installation. With a blend of wine country experiences, culture, and outdoor activities, Paso Robles is the perfect place to make the most of your time off.

Benefits:

*Car needed for this placement. Should be prepared to spend a minimum of $5,000 towards car, registration, and insurance upon arrival.

Airport pick-up - Fly into San Luis Obispo (SBP), also known as McChesney Field - Must coordinate arrival to ensure airport pick-up

Chef Coat & Apron Provided

Please bring own knives (and other favored personal tools), black pants, and non-slip shoes

Meals are not provided, but there is a small break room with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee station (Snacks, water, coffee, and tea are provided)

You will receive 40 hours of sick time after reaching 90-day employment period

14 days of complimentary housing provided upon arrival

Requirements

Eligibility criteria for our Career USA programs: - you are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR - you have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR - you have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA) - you have shown consistent career growth over the last years - you have shown serious commitment to your most recent employers

The Restaurant at JUSTIN is located in a rural area of Paso Robles with no direct access to public transportation. Interns should plan to secure reliable transportation to commute to and from the property.

Recommended Budget for Car Purchase
Interns are strongly encouraged to purchase a used vehicle upon arrival. A budget of approximately $5,000 is recommended to cover the cost of the car, registration, and insurance.

Rideshare Services (Limited Availability)
While Uber and Lyft operate in Paso Robles, availability in rural areas is inconsistent and costs can range from $20–$25+ per trip. These services are not considered reliable for daily commuting.
