This elegant 4-star luxury hotel in the Washington, D.C. area is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join their Rooms team! You'll have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in key roles such as Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping, and Front Desk Supervisor.

Placement Remarks
Salary: $17.50 per hour
Benefits:
The hotel will provide accommodations for 10 days upon the candidate's arrival.
One complimentary meal per shift worked.
A uniform is provided, but a business suit should also be brought.
The closest international airport is Dulles International airport. It's recommended that you take the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Keep your receipt; HR will reimburse you for the shuttle fare.

Requirements
Eligibility criteria for our Career USA programs:
• You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA)
• You have shown consistent career growth over the last years
• You have shown serious commitment to your most recent employers

World-famous for its historical monuments and cultural landmarks, there are very few cities in The United States that compare in terms of the number of iconic places to see! You can visit the Lincoln Memorial, The White House, and other attractions.
Depending on the location of your housing, a car may not be necessary while living in D.C, where the metro access is quite convenient making travel around the city fairly easy. It is recommended that you get metro passes as soon as you can. It is also an option to live outside the city where the cost of living will be a bit less expensive. Located in the Washington DC Metro area, Arlington can be moderately expensive. A studio apartment can start around $2,000 + per month, unfurnished. HRC recommends that you consider rooming with another J1 or local to share the cost of the living. The metro is very reliable, which allows the option to live outside the city where the cost of living will be a bit less expensive. Please note, without established credit a deposit of the first and last month’s rent may be required. HRC recommends you bring at least $3,000 as start up capital to help secure housing.
