Placement Remarks
Please bring your own black pants, black polish-able shoes and a black shirt for your uniform. The employer will provide an apron.
A complimentary meal is offered per shift worked.
Average hours trained will be 40-50 hours. Any hours over 40 will be paid at $27.00 per hour. No tips are received from the guests.
You will accrue up to 40 hours of Personal Time off during your 1 year of training.
No housing is offered, you must secure before your arrival.

Eligibility criteria for our Career USA programs:
• You are enrolled in a post secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA)
• You have shown consistent career growth over the last years
• You have shown serious commitment to your most recent employers

Transportation: Chicago is a fairly walkable city, and if something is too far to walk, they have a reliable public rail system called the ‘L’. As is ready public transportation in Chicago, we do not believe that a car is needed in this city.

Housing: Housing options in Chicago are extremely varied in price. You can find Studio apartments as low as $1500 per month, though there are of course more expensive options the closer you are to the heart of the city, and the larger the apartment. If you would like to go with one of these options it is recommended that you find a roommate to split the costs with. Below are some resources to help you begin your apartment search! Please note, without established credit your first and last month’s rent may be required as a deposit. HRC recommends you arrive with at least $3,400 as startup capital and to help secure housing.
