Local info

Housing: Located in the Washington DC Metro area, Arlington can be moderately expensive. A studio apartment can start around $2,000 + per month, unfurnished. HRC recommends that you consider rooming with another J1 or local to share the cost of the living. The metro is very reliable, which allows the option to live outside the city where the cost of living will be a bit less expensive. Please note, without established credit a deposit of the first and last month’s rent may be required. HRC recommends you bring at least $3,000 as start up capital to help secure housing.
