Local attractions

Los Angeles, at around 500 square miles, is the largest city within Los Angeles County which includes more than 100 cities and communities. Known for its entertainment industry, miles of coastline, mountains, shopping, sports, ethnic diversity, and culture of creativity, L.A.'s vibe ranges from upscale to hip to surf-casual and everything between, defying a label for the city as a whole. See here for places you must visit and here for the weather.

Housing: Housing is expensive in southern California; it's best to live with a roommate. A 1-bedroom unfurnished apartment in the city at the cheapest can cost up to $1700 without utilities. Be prepared to bring at least 2 months rent to put down to secure your place to live since you do not have credit in the USA. We highly recommend that you find a roommate to share an apartment with it. Please check Alondra Park Apartments, Zillow, HomestayTrulia Apartment.com, Sparerooms, or Roomies

Transportation: You can use the train system if you live along the train stops! Check it out here at MetroLink! It is highly recommended to purchase a moped or car to get around in this area. Please be prepared to make this investment and pay for car insurance upon arrival in the USA!
