The J-1 program has brought me to a new adventure in my life. I have learned many new things as a chef, being taught by all the chefs from the hotel, from effectively executing a la carte service and making handmade pasta to running fine dining services, and even mastering the very basic essentials of being a chef. Everybody is so supportive and appreciative, which allows me to express my skills in my work.
Alongside my career path, I have also tried several things for the first time. I went mountain biking and skiing, and I owe thanks to Chef Julio and Chef Jesus for these experiences. I am grateful to HRC International; the experience has been wonderful, and we never knew what kind of surprises awaited us.
